Scoliosis is an abnormal shaping of the spine. It commonly happens in children, but adults can be affected as well. To learn more about Scoliosis, we were joined by Dr. Jeremy Fogelson from the Mayo Clinic.
Common symptoms:
– not standing upright
– leaning to one side
– pain in lower or upper back
– pain in legs
– weakness or numbness in back or legs
Treatment:
– change of lifestyle
– physical therapy
– anti-inflammatory medication (for pain)
– nerve injections
– surgery in severe cases
